The largest island of Greece, Crete
claims to be the first European civilization made by the Minoan era on
Crete from 3000-1400 BC, which was at its peak of prosperity from
2000-1500 BC when the famously recreated palaces at Knossos were built.
Crete's main industry, easily overshadowing traditional
agriculture, is tourism, predominantly of the package variety. However,
by going a little off the beaten track and into the rugged splendour of
the White Mountains, we escape the vast majority of the holidaymakers
to meet the tough mountain people, with whom we share a lively
discussion on our way.
Our guided tours are mainly focused in the area of west Crete,
starting from the picturesque town of Chania, touring around
traditional mountain villages and hiking in the areas beautiful gorges
and south coast paths along the Libyan sea.
For the independent traveler we offer more flexible tailor made
packages, ranging from accommodation proposals in luxurious spas,
traditional settlements or style hotels to short duration outdoor
activities.
