Spend a fascinating day in Athens combining sailing, swimming and a visit to awe inspiring Cape Sounion. Cape Sounion  is a promontory located 69 kilometres (43 mi) south-southeast of Athens, at the southernmost tip of the Attica peninsula . Cape Sounion is noted as the site of ruins of an ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, the god of the sea in classical mythology. The remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea. The ruins bear the deeply engraved name of English Romantic poet Lord Byron (1788–1823). The site is a popular day-excursion for tourists from Athens, with the sunset over the Aegean Sea, as viewed from the ruins, a sought-after sight.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 09.30 am and after a short (30 minute) drive we will arrive at the marina where we will embark our sailboat. Leaving the port at 10 AM we start sailing towards Cape Sounion with a break for swimming, snorkeling and lunch on board. At Cape Sounion, we visit the beautiful temple of Poseidon, then return to Athens while enjoying some afternoon drinks and snacks. Return at the marina by 21.00pm and to our hotel by 22.00 pm.
