Wonder through Venetians settlements, old cave houses and hike on ancient paths that lead to the clear blue waters of the Aegean sea at the volcanic south coast of Santorini.

We start our hike from the village of Akrotiri at the Southwest part of the island. After a short walk between the picturesque narrow alleys of the area, we visit the Venetian Fortress (Kastelli) of Akrotiri built on the 13th century. Part of the settlement – the tower - is renovated and hosts a unique exhibition of the greek traditional bagpipe. After a journey with our senses to the music with Giannis – the musician - , we continue our wondering at the cycladic architecture and we climb till the upper side of the village. From there we follow the trail that leads to the beach of Kambia and passes through old and lost in time cave houses, manmade tarraces and pumice stone natural sculptures while offering stunning views to the Aegean sea. By the beach we enjoy a traditional greek picnic -mezedes – and after a refreshing swim and a relaxing moment on the red pebbles we go back to the asphalt road to say adio (good bye in greek).
